TRAVEL TO SANTA FE WITH ANNE & LILI, JUNE 4-8, 2026

ALL INQUIRIES, TRIP BOOKING AND PAYMENT ARE HANDLED THROUGH ALL ROADS NORTH. TRIP RESERVATIONS ARE AVAILABLE NOW - CONTACT DESTINATION SPECIALIST SAM TO SECURE YOUR SPOT!

Santa Fe's story is written in red earth and roasted chiles, centuries-old adobes and simmering pots of posole. At over 7,000 feet, the high desert air carries the scent of piñon smoke and spice, and meals here aren't just eaten—they're inherited. This is a city where culinary traditions span Pueblo, Spanish, Mexican, and Anglo roots, all layered into a vibrant, deeply local food scene.

Walk the farmers' market at the Railyard and you'll find blue cornmeal and foraged herbs in the baskets of fifth-generation growers. Sit down for a green chile stew at a family-run café, or a contemporary tasting menu rooted in Indigenous techniques at a chef owned kitchen, and you'll taste the land's narrative—earthy, bold, and unmistakably Northern New Mexican. Here, culinary experience is connection: to place, to history, and to people who've been feeding this land for generations. Whether sipping mezcal under the stars or learning to roll tamales by hand, eating in Santa Fe is an immersion —rooted, radiant, and richly rewarding.

Friday, June 5 - Architecture Walk & Restaurant Tour

On this guided walking tour, we'll discover the beauty and distinguishing features of the three styles of architecture found in New Mexico; Pueblo, Spanish Territorial and Northern New Mexico architecture. Walking down small, winding back roads in the residential historic district intertwined with Canyon Road's Gallery district we will discover the traditional warmth of New Mexican Pueblo style, the classic elegance of a Spanish Territorial and the tall and narrow pitched roofs of Northern New Mexico style. The tour ends with a tasting at the Gruet Winery tasting room, producers of a world class sparkling wine.

Friday evening, we will explore the flavors of Santa Fe through a restaurant tasting experience. Santa Fe is the culinary capital of the American West, with a thriving restaurant culture, spanning traditional Southwestern classics to inventive newcomers. We will meet at the Santa Fe School of Cooking for a chef-prepared appetizer and an aperitif. Together with our private guide, we'll embark on a culinary adventure through the heart of downtown Santa Fe, a deliciously walkable city. Over the course of a few hours you'll drop into four Santa Fe restaurants, from local's favorites to little-known culinary treasures. At each, you'll have the opportunity to meet the chefs and key players, while enjoying their signature dishes.

Saturday, June 6 - High Road to Taos & Pueblo Lunch

We'll join our private guide for the journey to Taos and a very special culinary experience. Traveling the fabled “High Road,” the route winds through high mountain pueblos, historic adobe churches, and artist-filled villages where traditions run deep. Among the highlights is Chimayó, home to the Santuario de Chimayó, a pilgrimage site revered for centuries.

Arriving in Taos, you'll be welcomed into the Pueblo—the oldest continuously inhabited community in the United States. Here, in the home kitchen of Bertha Concha, a native Tewa, you'll share in traditional Pueblo cooking at its most authentic. The menu is rooted in heritage: warm fry bread, Pueblo tacos, red or green chile, hearty Frito pie, and seasonal dishes prepared just steps from the table. More than a meal, this is an invitation into a living tradition—where simple ingredients, ancestral recipes, and Bertha's generosity tell the story of resilience, family, and community at the heart of Taos Pueblo.

Sunday, June 7: Georgia O-Keeffe Museum, Artistans of Santa Fe Plaza, Indigenous inspired dinner with Lois Ellen Frank

No artist is more entwined with the landscapes—and, in many ways, the very identity —of New Mexico than Georgia O'Keeffe. From her adobe home at Ghost Ranch and studio in Abiquiú, she created some of the most celebrated works of modern American art, capturing the stark mesas, bleached bones, and infinite skies with a singular vision. In Santa Fe, the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum holds the world's most comprehensive collection of her art and personal materials, including artifacts from her historic houses. With a private museum docent as your guide, you'll gain a rare and intimate perspective on O'Keeffe's life, creative process, and enduring legacy in the American Southwest.

Next, we'll head to Santa Fe Plaza, a crossroads of trade and culture. With our local guide, we will meet artisans and traders who embody the region’s extraordinary Native American traditions. At the Andrea Fisher Gallery, explore world-renowned Pueblo pottery, including the celebrated black-on-black works of Maria Martinez and her family. Across the Plaza, Shiprock Santa Fe showcases Navajo rugs, Native jewelry, and folk art curated by fifth-generation dealer Jed Foutz. At the Plaza’s center, the Palace of the Governors hosts an artisan marketplace where descendants of the original traders continue to share their craft.

Sunday evening, we will join celebrated Santa Fe chef and food historian Lois Ellen Frank for an intimate private dinner that's as educational as it is delicious. Begin with a walk through of her lush kitchen garden, where she shares the stories and uses of traditional Indigenous plants. Then settle in for a multi-course meal prepared using ancestral techniques and ingredients—think blue corn, bison, and foraged herbs—each dish rooted in the culinary traditions of Native peoples of the Southwest. With Lois as your guide, this is more than a meal—it's a journey through time, culture, and the enduring flavors of the land.
